I have always believed that pictures can enhance children's desire to read more. Especially the pictures that were drawn hilariously.

This small reading picture book - Pizza and Other Stinky Poems,illustrated by Amaznda Haley,  is one among them. The poems themselves are interesting enough and with the pictures that make the whole reading even more enjoyable. 

Like the Pizza poem,

it goes like this...

"Through the teeth

And past the gums

Look out stomach,

Pizza comes."

And the Meatball poem...

"On top of spaghetti

All covered with cheese,

I lost my poor meatball

When somebody sneezed.

It rolled off the table

And onto the floor.

Then my poor meatball

Rolled out the door.

It rolled into the garden

And under a bush,

And then my poor meatball

Was nothing but mush.

But the mush was so tasty,

As tasty can be.

Early last summer

It grew into a tree.

The tree was all covered

With beautiful moss

And grew lots of meatballs

In to-mato sauce.

So when you eat spaghetti

All covered with cheese,

Hang onto your meatball

And don't ever sneeze!"
